The Skinny On Credit Cards: How to Master the Credit Card Game

The Skinny on Credit Cards is the story of Billy and Beth, a typical American couple, as they struggle with the use (and abuse) of their credit cards. Our story also looks at their 18 year old son, Jake, a college freshman who loves the idea of having his own credit cards. Through their experiences, we learn about the incredible convenience, heartache and commentary generated by that little piece of plastic.

There are now about 700 million active credit cards in the U.S. – that’s 2 cards for every man, woman and child. Total credit card debt is about trillion, with an average of ,000 per household. WOW! We’ve identified the 100 or so most important points you need to know – and they are all in our story. Our book uncovers the predatory marketing and lending protocols adopted by some of the credit card issuers, and examines irresponsible borrowing and money management by consumers.

Our goal is to educate you. We believe that if you understand the rules of the game, the principles of credit card use (and potential abuse), then the decisions you make about credit and debt will hopefully be good ones which make your life better and more enjoyable.
